Physicians believe that laser therapy can be safely used with other hair products. In fact, many physicians have reported that laser therapy can help improve the effects of other hair loss solutions because it can increase cell metabolism rate and elevate blood flow in the scalp area, which can enhance absorption and supply of nutrients. 

This published article by the International Journal of Trichology discusses a study of low-level laser therapy on male and female patients who suffered from androgenetic alopecia (genetic hair loss). They concluded from the study that " LLLT represents a potentially effective treatment for both male and female androgenetic alopecia, either as monotherapy [by itself] or concomitant therapy [along with other treatments]. Combination treatments with minoxidil, finasteride, and LLLT may act synergistic to enhance hair growth... No adverse reactions were reported."
